Even I am surprised to find myself in this industry – see I work in real estate, but I am not the ‘real estate’ type. My love of property and the Brisbane lifestyle has led me here. I established The Informed Buyer in 2018 as I knew there had to be an easier and better way to purchase a home.
My love of real estate began in my early twenties when I bought my first apartment. Around this time, I also commenced my career working in the corporate world as an accountant and financial analyst. I gained valuable experience in Brisbane and Sydney in some of Australia’s largest and most respected organisations. While my finance career was exciting, I was always drawn back to property – buying and selling numerous times for myself and family and friends.
I eventually left the corporate world and took the plunge to start my own Brisbane Buyer’s Agency.
I knew that being a professional, having a warm and friendly disposition, being a good listener and being extremely customer focused my business would thrive. In fact, it has grown from strength to strength from a foundation of recommendations and positive word-of-mouth reviews.
I’m here to do things differently, with an authentic and transparent process. I pride myself on having a strict policy of not accepting or paying referral fees or kick-backs – so my clients can be 100% confident that I’m working solely in their best interests.
My goal is to deliver a superior Buyer’s Agent service – one that produces unbelievable results for all my clients.

Vanessa is a registered Real Estate salesperson and specialist in customer service, marketing and communications. Having worked across numerous industries for large, international organisations including the Singapore Government and Virgin Australia Airlines as well as small local, businesses, including her own, Vanessa brings to clients an exceptionally well-rounded set of skills, knowledge and service. Vanessa’s love of homes and all things property led her to seek out a role with Jayne at The Informed Buyer.
Having grown up in Sydney, travelled the world, and lived and worked overseas, Vanessa has called Brisbane home for the past 23 years. She is passionate about Brisbane and truly believes there is no better place to live and raise a family. Vanessa is a mother of two teenagers and a ten-year-old and having bought, sold and renovated property in Brisbane believes she knows a thing or two about finding the perfect family home.
Vanessa’s warm, friendly approach combined with her professionalism and passion for client service is what sets her apart. Her in-depth local knowledge and ease with building rapport has enabled her to develop strong, trusted relationships. Vanessa’s attention to detail and trustworthy approach makes her a valued team member.
